Moody

I just got home. But tsk I'm feeling moody now in a sense and I don't know why. My mind has been thinking about many things

So morning been to Pasir Panjang Brethren Church. Such different atmosphere and style. Well didn't start off too well with realization of no available amp. Faulty unstable power supply that caused my pedal board go on then off unexpectedly with piercing treble and messy mixing. And worst, there was no bassist... Still anyway it was a good experience for me. Observed a different culture and learnt things. Nice bunch of people there though. May God really bless their worship ministry with multiplication and resources

During Andrew's sermon, honestly, my mind was just wandering to think about things

Finished. Went back church for lunch. So Black Canyon wasn't that bad. Still expensive. But the Salted Fish Fried Rice I ate was nice; moist and generous amount of salted fish. I liked :)

Then cellgroup

I love my cellgroup no matter what :)

Was fun playing that game. And well I was kinda tired somehow and just stoned away and of course lost. Funny forfeit. Haha. *lousy wrestlers in my cell!*

Last week of iReach campaign lesson. I did learn things and see God's wonder works. However it got me questioning. What's next? Surely this is a lifestyle that I got to keep :)

So the usual fellowship dinner. But I just felt tired so went home. Yup :)

Recently as usual just digged up new bands and listen to those on my iTunes that sometimes I don't even listen to:

Paramore
Son of Dork
The Academy Is

TAI isn't that new. But just dig their music recently when I listen to them more. I really like Paramore, you don't often see bands with a chick singer and totally rockin' music :)

Well I guess that's all. Haha :)

"Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one."

I'm asking myself: Am I wearing a mask?

It's HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Yes, so the last paper was YESTERDAY! IT'S DONE! CSA paper was totally a joke. I went through that paper like I was just practicing. The feeling when you just don't bother to score for it? Heh... That's how much I hate this subject. I went through all the questions and answer whatever comes to my mind without care whether correct or not. Well if I'm to take sub paper then be it :x. Haha. Still, hopefully not so more time on holidays. LOL

Went to town. Man walked like I have never walked for a long time. Visited shops to shops. Ok I was hunting for a new sweater. The whole afternoon no luck only till night at Ben Sherman finally found it! But gonna cost quite a bit. Will think about it. Haha. Still I do like that Paul Frank Radio Hoodes. Oh wells :)

And met up with my that good ol' friend. Too bad it was only a dinner and walked walked around and talked. May be next time will do something else then. Haha

When was talking to Meng Yet, we squeezed brain to think of things to do during holidays. We realise we are bunch of free kids with nothing to do only laze around. Need meaning to live! (we sound secular and emo LOL) So things I will probably plan to do

1. Job: will try to get back to that Music School again (urgh) the only reason I would want to work there is easy money and you can talk to cute caucasian kid. $10 bucks per kid to entertain them for one hour. Easily can ear around 40 per day already. MORE MONEY FOR GUITAR! :)

2. Zoo: ok plan to go there with Night Safari. Now asking more people to go. BETTER HAVE PEOPLE MAN! If not I do lead a sad life. Haha

3. Meet-ups: with church guitarists, outside guitarists, old buddies... Good time to at least talk to people I know and catch up with friends

4. Get away: ok I want to go overseas!!!! I'm thinking whether I should go Aussie to stay with my rich auntie. HAHA. She invited me but see how. And I want to eat the ice cream over there!!!!! :). And I do not want to go back to VN often, will rot there. :x

Gah, ok that's all I actually can think off! Suggestions please...

Will be going back to secondary school later. Man kinda excited. It's been long since I met all my old teachers anyway. YAY! And will be able to see that new money-I-paid-but-never-got-chance-to-use school

Ok that's all. Bye~

One more day

Ok, so I have been MIA in a while. Well I just don't feel the urge to blog. Things happened. Hmm

Tomorrow shall be the last day of exam, CSA. The subject that I truly loathe :x! I've managed to go through those not so important chapters. And afterwards will just force myself to chew down the rest. God bless me!

What's the only thing I really want to do right now:

Get out of my house. Get out of everything around me now. Lock myself in a hidden place where there are many guitar amps, many guitar pedals and many guitars. Total sound proof. A simple Mac laptop with garage band. Small mixer and monitors. Loads of backing tracks. And up I go. Throw myself in junks of gears and equipments with me myself and my fingers that I can doodle on the guitars. Play play play play play and play somemore. Where I can make noise of my own and express myself in another different language. I wish I can spend endless hours just trying to know how to create real music and understand it. The art of experimenting new dimension of tone, sound and guitar techniques.

BUT! WAKE UP NAM! YOU ARE IN RE-AL-LI-TY!

Ok so still I'm stuck here listening to some inspiring music, trying to decipher nice chord phrase and absorb it, different guitar tones jungling in my head (yes that Gretsch tone), exploring new artistes (especially chick bands, I think girl bands are totally cool with loads of attitude! The Dollyrotz!), and my CSA book sitting behind me trying to seduce me. How sad...

I want to get a new guitar badly! So I have two options *Disclaimer: Will bore certain people who do not care heck about what I will be talking about, Haha!*

1. Reverend Avenger TL: so it's not exacly made of wood, phenolic it is. Made in USA with Kent Armstrong pickups. I'm especially attracted to single coils now adays, different tone you see. With a very good price. Will have some extra money to upgrade/mod certain of my pedals. Not that expensive so no fear of trashing around (of course not intentionally, I'm gentle). But I realise my current guitar has decent singcoil-ish tone with split.

2. Gretsch Firebird: Sweetest tone I have ever heard for a long time (on guitar besides that Tele tone by Edge)! I mean I've known about The Great Gretsch Sound. But only once you really do research and dig your ears to tonnes of clips and videos with your jaws wide open and goosebumps all over. Boy, little did I know I've fallen in love. BUT the great set back would be I have to rob the bank to get this rockin' smokin' baby. I'm weeping...

Gah, I don't know which will I be able to get. But whatever, I will be contented and happy still :)

Holidays is coming and I yet to have any plans. I seriously want to get away to some countries and spend time shopping or on the beach or whatever. Just away from civilization...!

Ok I guess I better get back to my CSA now. Ciao~~

*Michael Guy was a school drop out at 16 (his english irritates me :x) and now he can tour around... Ok stop thinking bye!*
